Bhringraj, also known as Eclipta Alba, is a plant associated with Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. Eclipta Alba is a herbaceous plant, typically reaching between 10 and 50 cm in height. In Ayurveda, Eclipta Alba extract is widely used in hair care to strengthen and condition hair, accelerate growth, and prevent hair loss. It is also used in skin care to soothe irritations and moisturize the skin. Bhringraj is also used in the pharmaceutical industry for dietary supplements. Bhringraj oil is used for scalp massage or as a hair oil before shampooing to increase moisture and strengthen hair. A mixture of Bhringraj with water or honey makes an excellent skin mask for cleansing and nourishing. In India, a Bhringraj infusion is used as a hair rinse after shampooing to improve hair condition and shine.
