How to Explore Asia? Part 3.

You have certainly heard of the Indian festival of colors Holi . It is the quintessence of colorful Asia! It is celebrated in February or March to welcome spring and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. After an evening of fun by the bonfire, the next day there is a joint game of throwing colored powders and dousing each other with paints. Traditionally, dyes were created from plants that bloom in spring, but now they are produced in factories. Festivals of colors associated with Holi are also held in many cities around the world. Go to such an event in your area and you will feel this specific climate of Asia with your sense of sight and at the same time you will definitely have a great time J If you feel that your eyesight needs a moment of rest, I can recommend wonderful places where you will definitely regenerate your eyes and mind. In addition to the fabulous jungle in Borneo, the eye-pleasing coral reefs in Indonesia and the spacious tea fields in Taiwan, I want to encourage you to visit two places in particular. If you have the opportunity, go to the pink beach on Komodo . The sand has gained its charming color thanks to the content of pieces of coral. The combination of turquoise water and delicate pink sand, the greenery growing on the island and the blue sky is a paradise for the sense of sight. Unfortunately, the beach is visited by many tourists who do not always know how to take care of its cleanliness and appreciate its uniqueness. I had the opportunity to visit it a few years ago, when it was not yet so popular. If any of you visit the Indonesian pink beach soon - please send me photos J Not far away – in Bali, I was very impressed by the rice terraces . Do you know what makes them unique? Rice is the basic source of daily food, but it is also considered sacred – that is why its cultivation is associated with religious holidays and is a kind of ceremony. Due to the lack of sufficient plains, rice is grown in Bali on specially designated “terraces” – on the slopes of hills. It looks really amazing and you can also go for a walk along the paths between the individual plots. If you are lucky, you will then see farmers picking weeds from the fields or tending to their crops. For us, rice terraces are a tourist attraction and for the locals – a source of food and a place of daily work, which we can observe with respect. How colorful Asia is can be seen in our cosmetics line called Power of Orient . We have collected natural cosmetics based on Ayurvedic ingredients and formulas that not only work effectively and smell beautiful, but also please the eyes with wonderfully colorful packaging inspired by the colors of Asia.

interesting facts from asia part 2

Interesting facts from Asia - discover them with me. In Thailand , I was particularly enchanted by two famous buildings - the Grand Palace dripping with gold and the intricately decorated Wat Pho temple with its famous golden statue of the reclining Buddha. The reclining Buddha is (watch out!) 15 meters high and 46 meters long! It is difficult to encompass this figure with your eyes and the impressions are incredible. In Malaysia, on the other hand, I had the opportunity to visit the Batu Caves , the largest of which is 100 meters high! I climbed 272 steps to admire it. In the caves, there are, among other things, incredible and very realistic-looking figures of people with the heads of monkeys or crocodiles. Did you know that these caves were discovered a little over 100 years ago? Maybe during my travels around Asia I will also come across unexplored buildings and places? You certainly know that Asian deities often look menacing. I was very impressed by the figure of Lord Murugan , whose huge, golden figure I met for the first time also in Malaysia near the Batu Caves. You must know that as the son of the very warlike goddess Korravai, he was also identified with the god of war - Skanda. Murugan is armed with a spear and looks as if he is guarding the entrance to mysterious caves. He is almost 43 meters high and because he is the tallest statue of a Hindu deity in Malaysia (and the third largest in the world!) he definitely commands respect among tourists. During religious ceremonies, my special attention was drawn to the flower garlands offered to deities and also decorating altars. Plants are inextricably linked to religious worship and many of them are considered magical. Plants are also widely used in Ayurveda , or traditional medicine. If you are here, you know for sure that I built my Orientana natural cosmetics brand on these plants. In the recipes, I use Ayurvedic extracts, oils, extracts, fruits and herbs, which have a great effect on the skin and hair. Returning to flower garlands, I like the ones that use lotuses, marigolds, frangipani flowers, jasmine, ylang-ylang or oleander the most. Five types of sacred leaves, flowers, twigs and fruits are offered in temples during special rituals. Every time I have the opportunity to observe such ceremonies, my eyes absorb hundreds of shades, colors and shapes. I will tell you another interesting fact from Bali ! In many places I have come across small, colorful baskets made of palm leaves filled with flowers, rice, candies and incense. At first I did not know what their function was. It turned out that these beautiful gifts are prepared as an offering to the spirits and are to ensure their favor. In addition, women often place flowers and incense on trays for their deceased ancestors. Practically every place in Bali where local people live is full of such colorful accents.

ASIA senses? part 1.

Asia senses - part 1. I recently met with you live, where I talked about how you can perceive Asia through different senses. I received many messages from you asking me to expand my story , so I decided to describe my impressions right here - on our blog. Asia is a specific continent. When I visited different countries in this region of the world, I had the impression that my senses were sharpening. I enjoyed absorbing the colors, sounds, flavors and scents of colorful and aromatic Asia. I had the opportunity to visit many places on Earth, but it was Asian countries that enchanted me the most with their intensity of the impressions they provided. Have you ever wondered why Orientana cosmetics have multi-colored packaging ? It's our trademark! We pack natural ingredients obtained from Asian plants, oils, mushrooms and minerals in charming and colorful bottles, tubes and jars. Now I invite you on a short journey, where we will see the different colors of my beloved Asia. Did you know that up to 80% of information reaches our brain through the sense of sight ? In Asia, the abundance of juicy colors around us constantly surprises the eyes. The streets in Asian cities shimmer with colors. Even poor women living in slums wear fabulously colorful saris . An interesting fact is that a sari requires up to 5-6 meters of fabric, which is not sewn or fastened with safety pins - this is an illegal practice that makes this traditional outfit "unclean". Bright red saris decorated with metallic thread are one of the favorite patterns of brides. In western India, saris are finished with patterns referring to paintings in temples. Each region has its favorite patterns and colors, which are visible throughout the subcontinent. In addition to clothes , the stalls with exotic fruits, vegetables and spices also attract attention on Asian streets. You will find there sunny yellow mangoes, pineapples or bananas, intensely orange peaches, tangerines, papayas and turmeric, pink lychees or dragon fruits and purple mangosteens. Right next to them will be green amla fruits, prickly durians, coconuts, cherries, strawberries, watermelons or rambutans with skin in shades of yellow, red or pink and many other delicacies in all colors of the rainbow. Can you imagine that? Following the sense of sight, it is also worth paying attention to the architecture. While in Europe, subdued shades of buildings or temples and their simpler forms reign supreme, Asia definitely stands out with its richness of colors and variety of shapes. My attention was drawn to the Sikh temples called gurudwaras. The beautiful Golden Temple in Amritsar dates back to the late 16th century and is built of marble, copper, and gold. The connection between Hindu and Islamic architecture is clearly visible here. It was destroyed many times, but each time it was rebuilt even more beautiful. I was incredibly impressed by the fact that the dome of the temple, which weighs about 750 kg, was made of pure gold! If you have the opportunity to visit this place, take a look at the ceiling from the inside, which is richly decorated with gold and precious stones. You will not see such splendor as in Asian temples anywhere else in the world.

Witamina A czyli retinol. Sekret młodości i zdrowej skóry! - Orientana

Vitamin A, or retinol. The secret to youth and healthy skin!

Retinol, a form of vitamin A, is gaining increasing recognition in the field of skin care, mainly due to its anti-aging properties and ability to improve skin condition. The action of retinol includes reducing wrinkles, improving skin texture, brightening hyperpigmentation, moisturizing, and combating acne. How does retinol affect the skin? It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, key proteins responsible for skin elasticity and firmness. Thanks to this, retinol can reduce the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines, brighten discolouration, and normalize melanin production, leading to an even skin tone. Are there any downsides to using retinol? Despite numerous benefits, retinol can cause skin reactions such as irritation, dryness, or flaking, especially at the beginning of use. Therefore, it is important to use it as directed and protect the skin from the sun. A modern form of retinol – RETINOL H10 With the modern ADVANCED SKIN LIFT UP SERUM REISHI I RETINOL H10 0,5% , the Orientana brand has introduced a modern form of retinol – RETINOL H10, which is free from the irritating properties typical of most retinoids. The hydrogenation process increases its stability, making it more resistant to oxidation, light, and high temperatures. RETINOL H10: Effects and usage RETINOL H10 focuses on stimulating hyaluronic acid synthesis, making the skin soft, elastic, and firm. It is recommended to gradually introduce this product into your daily skincare routine, monitoring the skin's reaction. Hydrogenated retinol makes the skin "pumped" with moisture like a sponge, visibly improving its firmness, and smoothing out irregularities and wrinkles. To maintain this state, it is also worth taking care of the skin barrier, which is responsible for a long-lasting effect and will ensure that the results of RETINOL H10 are preserved for longer. To strengthen and rebuild the hydrolipidic barrier, the second new product from Orientana - ADVANCED SKIN REPAIR SERUM REISHI I CERAFLUID® 5% - used during the day, will be an excellent complement to the mentioned serum. The combined use of both cosmetics will contribute to spectacular skincare results.

Hair care in summer

Hair care in summer Summer is a demanding time for hair. Regardless of whether we spend our vacation on the Baltic Sea, in the Maldives or in the city, it is worth taking special care of our hair. During sunbathing and sea bathing, as well as due to high temperatures, the condition of hair can deteriorate. Fortunately, this can be effectively prevented. What damages hair in summer? How to get rid of blackheads? An effective skincare plan with Orientana cosmetics

Blackheads are one of the most common skin problems, affecting both teenagers and adults. Many people ask themselves: how to get rid of blackheads effectively and safely? The key is to understand where they come from and choose the right skincare routine – preferably based on natural ingredients that regulate sebum production, cleanse pores, and simultaneously care for the skin's protective barrier. In this guide, I will present a step-by-step approach to fighting blackheads, answer the most frequently asked questions, and suggest which Orientana cosmetics will help you achieve smooth, clear skin. What are blackheads and why do they form? Blackheads form when the openings of the sebaceous glands become blocked by excess sebum, dead skin cells, and impurities. Open blackheads have a dark spot on the skin's surface – this is oxidized sebum. Closed blackheads (whiteheads) are white or flesh-colored bumps under the skin, without an opening to the outside. Their formation is contributed to by, among other things: overproduction of sebum, improper cleansing, lack of regular exfoliation, use of comedogenic cosmetics, and hormonal imbalances. How to get rid of blackheads at home – step by step Gentle but effective cleansing Daily face washing is fundamental. Choose products that remove excess sebum, impurities, and makeup residue without drying out the skin.💚 Recommended product: Orientana Gentle Facial Cleansing Gel – contains date extract and gluconolactone, which cleanses and soothes irritation. 💚 Recommended product: Kantola Facial Cleansing Foam - a delicate foam that not only cleanses the skin but also calms and moisturizes it. Regular exfoliation Exfoliation removes dead skin cells that can clog pores. For skin prone to blackheads, enzyme or acid peels work best.💚 Recommended product: Orientana Kali Musli Enzyme Peel – gently exfoliates and brightens the complexion while moisturizing. Pore cleansing with masks Masks with clay, activated charcoal, or plant extracts act like a magnet for impurities.💚 Recommended product: Tremella Tamanu Oil Azelaic Acid Face Blemish Mask - absorbs sebum and cleanses pores, while providing minerals to the skin. Moisturizing without weighing down Proper hydration regulates sebum secretion and prevents skin dehydration.💚 Recommended product: Orientana Ashwagandha + CICA + Niacinamide Ampoule Serum – strengthens the skin barrier, reduces inflammation, and minimizes pore visibility. Sun protection UV radiation thickens the stratum corneum, which promotes blackhead formation. Use a UV filter cream tailored to your skin type daily. Frequently Asked Questions about Blackheads What are blackheads and why do they form?Blackheads are blocked pores filled with sebum, dead skin cells, and impurities. They can be open (black) or closed (white). What types of blackheads are there and how to recognize them?Open ones have a black dot, closed ones look like small white bumps under the skin. How to quickly get rid of blackheads at home?Use daily cleansing, exfoliation 1–2 times a week, cleansing masks, and light hydration. Which active ingredients work best on blackheads?Niacinamide, salicylic acid (BHA), clays, gluconolactone, centella asiatica extract. Can you squeeze blackheads at home?It is not recommended – it can lead to inflammation and scars. It's better to remove them with skincare and possibly cosmetic treatments. How often should you exfoliate to reduce blackheads?1–2 times a week, preferably with gentle PHA acids or enzymes. Does diet affect blackhead formation?Yes – a diet rich in simple sugars and dairy can exacerbate skin problems. Which Orientana cosmetics help in the fight against blackheads?Gentle Facial Cleansing Gel, Revitalizing Toning Lotion, Bamboo Charcoal Bio Mask-Essence, Ashwagandha + CICA + Niacinamide Cream. Can blackheads be removed without cosmetic treatments?Yes, but it requires regular and comprehensive skincare. How to maintain results after blackhead removal?Continue cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and using SPF. Is it worth using professional treatments? Yes. Everyday sun protection -
can this be possible?

Photoaging of the skin Skin aging is a complex and inevitable biological process. Unfortunately, skin ages faster when exposed to sunlight – a process we call photoaging. The skin is the largest organ in our body, it protects all other organs from the effects of environmental factors and maintains the balance between the human body and the environment (e.g. by regulating body temperature). It is a complex organ with many structures and cell types, divided into three layers: the epidermis, the dermis and the subcutaneous tissue. The skin, as a protective barrier between the environment and internal organs, is exposed to factors that damage its cells every day - UV radiation, cigarette smoke, car exhaust fumes and stress. With age, the skin's natural regeneration processes slow down, it becomes thinner, less elastic and drier. How quickly the skin ages and what the visible effects are depends on, among other things: genes, environmental exposure - such as UV radiation, xenobiotics or exposure to mechanical injuries, hormonal changes, metabolic processes - generation of reactive chemical compounds or free radicals in skin cells. All of the above factors together affect changes in its structure, function and appearance. However, it is the sun's and artificially generated (e.g. in a solarium) UV radiation that is undoubtedly the main factor responsible for skin aging. Photoaging is the superimposition of photodamage on the skin that is already ageing, generally causing premature ageing. The skin becomes rough, the epidermis initially thickens (hyperplasia) and then thins (atrophy), laxity, sallowness with wrinkles, irregular discoloration, lentigines and telangiectasias appear. The pores of the skin are larger, with an increased tendency to form comedones. Changes also occur in the dermis – collagen degeneration results in wrinkles and furrows. There is an accumulation of thickened, tangled and degraded elastin fibers, blood vessels dilate. Due to the gradual loss of skin elasticity and its dehydration (increased dryness of the skin), expression wrinkles become more pronounced, fine wrinkles appear around the corners of the eyes and mouth. Photoaging of the skin is not a sudden effect of one walk on the beach in full sun without UVR protection - it is the effect of long-term, bad habits and neglect. However, it is worth remembering that even one but intensive visit to the sun can result in skin burn and stroke. Check out our new natural face creams and body lotion with ultra-high SPF 50+ protection now!

Each of us has a lot of things to do, deadlines to meet, and we don't have time for everything. Often we don't even really think about where we are rushing to and whether the goal is really worth such sacrifices. Evolutionarily, humans were not created to live at such a pace. Our bodies are increasingly beginning to feel the somatic symptoms of too fast a pace of life, which result in a deterioration of health - both physical and mental. We promise ourselves that next month we will start going to yoga, swimming or Nordic walking, we even buy passes, clothes and equipment for exercises. But it often doesn't work out, right? We stop at a few visits to the pool and then we get back into the whirlwind of life's affairs and constant rush.
